In Tokyo, where the Space Elevator Project is advancing ahead of a major summit, the Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit, known as Unit 8, combats crime involving Willwear, a type of enhanced armor. After thwarting Logos' terrorist activities, the unit gained national recognition. Despite this, incidents involving Willwear continue to rise in frequency and severity. Kuroki and the remaining members of Unit 8 now operate alongside new recruits and with support from civilian police, using strategy, courage, and communication to tackle these evolving threats.
