Yoshiko Hanabatake is an extremely clumsy and unintelligent girl who frequently scores zero on tests and has an unusual fixation on bananas. Her erratic behavior has left her mother hopeless. Akuru "A-kun" Akutsu, her childhood friend, is the only one who can manage her antics. A-kun is a serious, high-achieving student who is not afraid to use force to stop Yoshiko's foolish actions. Despite his efforts, Yoshiko remains unchanged and continues to cause trouble, often involving others in her chaotic behavior. A-kun tries to control her, but life with Yoshiko is always full of surprises.
