A 17-year-old girl named Sayako Amanokawa dreams of becoming a journalist, inspired by Kanemoto, a top writer whose career collapsed after a false report on a corruption case led to his suicide. After his death, Sayako gains the ability to see spirits and nearly dies in an incident linked to this power. Following this experience, she feels a strong urge to uncover the truth behind the events. As she pursues this goal, she faces increasingly powerful and dangerous obstacles.
