A book called the Chain Chronicle records all events in the world. On the distant continent of Yggd, people believed nothing existed beyond it. The land was split into regions, each ruled by a king. While minor conflicts occurred, a leader chosen by the kings kept peace until the arrival of the Black Army. The Volunteer Army, commanded by Yuri, failed to stop them. In the battle, the Black Army's leader seized half of the Chain Chronicle and captured the capital.
