Di Gi Charat: Natsuyasumi Special

This four-episode series set in America aired in early August 2001, introducing Rodoyan, a young American otaku. In the first two episodes, Puchiko struggles to press a bus button, and the driver, resembling Abarenbou, speeds toward America. Dejiko receives a letter from Rod Young, an American boy and Dejiko fan, who invites her to stay with him. The third episode involves Dejiko entering a band contest at Akihabara, offering a ten-year supply of nattou as the prize, though she struggles to gather members and instruments. In the final episode, Dejiko and a group of gamers travel to the mountains, where people start vanishing as night falls.
