The opening of a mysterious gateway links the mortal realm, heaven, and the underworld, causing widespread turmoil as desires and disputes collide. To address this, a governing body is established to reestablish stability. As order returns, the gateway fades into legend. In this setting, individuals selected by the governing body are brought together, each with their own goals related to reaching the gateway. Those who arrive at the gateway have the power to alter the world. The nature of what exists beyond the gateway remains unknown. Upon reaching it, the world may be altered—either the past or the future could be changed.
