Dog Days

A world similar to Earth is home to human-like beings with animal features. A dog-like nation, the Republic of Biscotti, is attacked by feline forces from Galette Leo Knights. To defend her people, a princess summons a junior high student from Earth named Cinque Izumi. He accepts the task, retrieves a weapon known as the Palladion, and prepares for battle. In this world, conflicts resemble sporting events, with no deaths and the goal of raising funds for the involved kingdoms. Cinque proves effective in his role but discovers that summoned champions cannot return to their origin. Scientists in Biscotti attempt to find a solution for his return, but until then, he remains to serve the princess as Biscotti’s champion.
