Based on a PlayStation 2 game, the story is set in a magic university named Varanoir, where students are trained for battle against a devil master. Myu, the granddaughter of Jii, a former skilled swordsman now working as a chimney cleaner, receives sword-fighting instruction from him. She chooses to attend Varanoir to pursue her training as a fighter. There, she meets Ryuto, a skilled student who consistently views her as a competitor.
