Two friends spend their free time playing video games until they are unexpectedly pulled into a fantasy RPG world through a portal. They are assigned the mission of saving a princess named Melody from an antagonist known as the Maoh. One of them is eager to take on the adventure, while the other finds the idea of a heroic destiny to be a hassle.
