Kurapika seeks revenge against the Phantom Troupe, a Class-A criminal group responsible for annihilating his clan for their distinctive red eyes, which are among the world's most valuable treasures. These eyes change to a deep red when the wearer is emotionally stirred. While continuing his pursuit of the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika discovers that his own eyes have been stolen. With assistance from Gon, Killua, and Leorio, he survives an attack. However, the Phantom Troupe soon appears, obstructing their path.
