Sousuke Banba continues his investigation into Kagewani monster hybrids after surviving an attack at Sarugaku headquarters. He now possesses the ability to use their power, which offers a way to destroy them. However, this ability comes with a significant cost—his mental state is deteriorating as the power risks overtaking him. As new and past dangers emerge, including renewed activity from Sarugaku's leadership and an assassin seeking revenge, Sousuke remains focused on uncovering the Kagewani's origins and eradicating their threat.
