Kannagi

A boy named Jin carves a statue from a sacred tree for a school assignment. After bringing it outside, the statue unexpectedly absorbs the surrounding earth and transforms into a girl. As with similar situations, this deity is upset about her tree being cut down and begins living with Jin. She channels her anger by eliminating "impurities," which she refers to as squashing bugs.
