Two women named Nana meet by chance on a train heading to Tokyo. One, a young woman with romantic ideals, seeks lasting happiness in the city. The other, a punk rock singer, is driven by a desire for success in the music industry. Their lives become increasingly connected as they each pursue their goals. However, the challenges of city life begin to strain their paths, putting their aspirations and relationship at risk.
