A universe exists with multiple parallel worlds connected by a link known as "Prism," allowing energy and matter to pass through. One day, creatures called "Eight" emerge from a parallel world and launch attacks. In response, humans use a power named "Skuld," which draws strength from the future, to defend themselves. The government organizes Skuld users into a military force called "Norn." Despite these efforts, the Eight continue to cause destruction over time. Eventually, a boy named Asuma is found to possess the ability to wield an ancient weapon.
