Yomi Takeda, a pitcher, struggled in a cross-school baseball tournament during her junior high years due to a catcher who couldn't match her skill, preventing her from using her signature "Magic Throw." Disappointed, she quit baseball after junior high and enrolled in Shin Koshigaya High School, which had no baseball club. There, she reunited with Tamaki Yamazaki, a childhood friend who had also played baseball in junior high as a catcher and was capable of catching her special pitch. The two had once made a promise to play baseball together, and now had the chance to fulfill it. They began rebuilding their connection through the sport once more. The first episode aired on March 8.
