Kazuya Mishima seeks vengeance against his father, Heihachi Mishima, after being cast off a cliff in childhood, by participating in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Jun Kazama, a WWWC agent, and Lei Wulong, a Hong Kong detective, join the competition to uncover Heihachi's involvement in cloning and genetic engineering. Several other fighters compete for the $1 billion prize, unaware of the tournament's hidden agenda and the dangers ahead.
