Two years after the CCG's attack on Anteiku, the situation in Tokyo remains tense as ghouls adapt to the increased CCG presence. Aogiri Tree, a terrorist group, has become more cautious due to the CCG's growing power. To combat the ongoing threat, the CCG has formed the Quinx Squad, composed of humans who have undergone surgery to gain ghoul-like abilities. They conduct missions to eliminate dangerous ghouls. Haise Sasaki leads the Quinx Squad and is a half-ghoul, half-human trained by Kishou Arima, a top CCG investigator. Haise's past is unclear, as fragmented memories resurface, hinting at a former identity he is beginning to recall.
