A first-year junior high student from a small island, Manatsu Natsuumi encounters Laura, a mermaid girl who has traveled alone to Earth seeking the legendary hero PreCure. Laura’s home, Grand Ocean, is under attack by a witch dwelling in the ocean’s dark depths, which has stripped the town of its motivational power. Without this power, the world could face serious consequences. Laura is captured by the witch’s servant, prompting Manatsu to transform into Cure Summer to rescue her.
