A long-forgotten conflict occurred between the Netherworld and the Spirit World, resulting in the Netherworld's destruction and the exile of its ruler, Lord Yakumo, into deep space. Now, five Spirit World defenders must unite to prevent Yakumo's Demon-Gods from seizing control of five sacred locations. Yakumo is nearing his goal of recovering the Power Sphere, the energy source of the Netherworld. If he succeeds, the Power Sphere will enable him to transform the world into a new Netherworld.
