Fumi is a young man living in 1941 Morioh who accepts a job offer from Lucy Steel to be her local guide and carry her luggage and camera equipment.

In chapter 110, his real name is revealed to be Joseph Joestar, the grandson of Johnny Joestar. He wields a stand similar to that of his counterpart, capable of producing vines that he can control. Unlike the original Hermit Purple, this Stand also has a somewhat humanoid shape with at least a fully formed head.
