A young intern confronts the harsh realities of the medical profession at a top university hospital. Eijirou Saito, three months into his career, discovers that his idealistic vision of patient-centered care clashes with a system marked by long hours and minimal pay, under $500 monthly. The hospital environment reveals complex conflicts and contradictions, challenging his initial beliefs. The manga received the Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2002 and the Grand Award from the Japan Cartoonist Association in 2004.
