Fate/Zero

A competition among seven magi to obtain the Holy Grail, a miracle-granting artifact, involves summoning seven Heroic Spirits. In the fourth iteration of this conflict, the magi converge in Fuyuki, each driven by their own desire for victory. Among them is Kotomine Kirei, a solitary figure who struggles to understand the purpose of his role and the meaning of his Command Seals. His path intersects with that of Emiya Kiritsugu, a resolute and unyielding man also pursuing the Holy Grail. This account reveals the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War, taking place ten years prior to the events of Fate/Stay Night, and explores the fates of Shirō's foster father, Rin's father, and the younger Kirei.
