Frankenstein no Otoko
Her Frankenstein·フランケンシュタインの男
A timid and unloved boy named Tetsuo forms a relationship with Kimiko, a sick and self-absorbed teenager fascinated by chaos and cinema. She uses him to become the figure she desires—a monstrous creation. The manga, praised by Ito Junji as a disturbing yet emotional tale of a lost person finding destruction rather than identity, was published in 1986. It represents the strange and violent end of a notable period in Japanese horror comics. The author, Kawashima Norikazu, later destroyed all his artwork and left Tokyo, disappearing from public life.
