Getter Robo

A group of three young pilots operate a powerful robot known as Getter Robo, created by Professor Saotome and powered by Getter Rays. These rays, which once forced dinosaurs underground, led to the evolution of a vengeful, intelligent subterranean species that now seeks to destroy humanity. The pilots include Nagare Ryoma, a martial artist with a violent nature; Jin Hayato, a psychopathic but brilliant revolutionary; and Tomoe Musashi, a passionate Judo expert. Each controls a specialized jet that can combine in various configurations to form three distinct giant robots: Getter-1, which flies and wields an axe; Getter-2, a fast robot with a drill; and Getter-3, a durable, tank-like unit.
