A man named Sakimori Kagami finds himself inside Arch Earth Online, a VRMMORPG he has played extensively. When he logs in, he discovers that his character has changed—he intended to save adjustments to his usual old, bearded sorcerer avatar but apparently did not. Instead, he appears as a young woman. Now, he must persuade others in the game world that this new form belongs to the long-lost apprentice of a vanished wise man.
