Koutetsu Tenshi Kurumi

A young priest-in-training named Nakahito Kagura discovers a hidden laboratory belonging to a scientist called Ayanokouji during Japan's Taisho Era. Inside, he finds Kurumi, a Steel Angel developed for military use. During an attack by the imperial army, Nakahito and Kurumi accidentally kiss, which causes her to awaken, recognizing him as her master. With the army pursuing them, and Kurumi's two other Steel Angel counterparts, Saki and Karinka, also activated, the group flees while seeking to uncover the nature of the Angel Heart, the power source of the Steel Angels.
