Shin Yami no Koe: Kaidan

This manga compilation features several horror tales by Junji Ito. One story continues from an earlier tale involving a haunted house and a character named Soichi, known for his mischievous behavior, whose family adopts a stray cat. Another explores two rival villages separated by a river, both lined with mirrors and devoid of inhabitants. A narrative follows a man who encounters a bloodied girl while driving at night. Another centers on a couple living in a large house filled with inherited books, which the husband guards zealously. A story imagines the effects of a song that cannot be escaped, playing constantly in one's mind. Lastly, a tale follows a group of people who consume honey and suffer disturbing consequences. One of these stories has been adapted into an episode of the Ito Junji: Collection anime.
