Tales of the Abyss

Fonons are the fundamental elements of all matter on Auldrant. The emergence of the Seventh Fonon, capable of revealing the future, caused widespread conflict until the planet's internal poison, the miasma, engulfed the world. Yulia, a fonist with prophetic abilities, foretold a method to contain the miasma, leading humanity to seal it within the planet. Two millennia later, society is governed by the Score, a prophecy detailing a path to prosperity. The Order of Lorelei, a religion established by Yulia, promotes strict adherence to the Score. The prophecy speaks of a key figure named Luke fon Fabre, heir to the Kimlasca-Lanvaldear throne. He was taken as a child by the Malkuth Empire and returned later, living in seclusion for protection. He remains unaware of the impending threat.
