Toudo no Tabibito

This anthology includes six short stories. One is set in the Klondike in 1897 and features Jack London meeting a mysterious older man. Another, connected to Jack London, adapts the early part of *White Fang*, involving two men and their dog team chased by wolves. A third story is set in 1920s Japan and follows an older hunter seeking revenge on a large bear that killed his son. Another story follows a boy sent to live with relatives by the coast during his mother's illness. A fifth story is a reflection by a manga artist on his early life in Tokyo, living in a strange apartment and meeting unusual people. The final story involves a marine biologist in Alaska who becomes fascinated with an old bowhead whale and Inuit stories about a whale graveyard.
