Miwa is a shy woman who has long wanted to find love but has struggled in her small-town life in Japan, where opportunities for connection are limited—particularly for her attraction to women. Moving to college didn’t change much until Saeko, a more outgoing classmate, suggests they start dating, as neither has other prospects. Their relationship is rocky at first due to clashing personalities and frequent misunderstandings.
