Tomoki Yuuki is a high school sophomore who is often avoided due to his intimidating appearance. The only student who doesn't shy away from him is Ike Haruma, a nearly flawless protagonist. One day, Haruma's highly popular younger sister unexpectedly confesses to Tomoki, though she clarifies her feelings are not romantic and she has another purpose. Tomoki agrees to pretend to be her boyfriend at Haruma's request. Soon after, Haruma's childhood friend, who is widely admired, and Tomoki's attractive teacher also become involved with him. Tomoki questions how this situation, resembling a romantic comedy setup, could happen to someone like him, who believes he is just a minor character.
