Gaku Kinoshita

In 1997, Mr. Kinoshita moved England to study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, subsequently receiving a mater's degree at the Royal College of Art. After graduation, he worked at English animation production studio Passion Pictures, where he was in charge of TV commercials and character designs. He returned to Tokyo in 2008 and has since worked as a freelance filmmaker. Since his return to Japan, Gaku Kinoshita has directed and animated many commercials, music videos, and station IDs. His independent short films have been screened and won numerous awards worldwide, with his most acclaimed film, For Your Blossom (Anata no Hana ga Saku Tame ni), having been screened in over 30 countries. He is the representative director of SepiaWorks.
