CASIO Toruko Onsen

Is a 3-piece band producing electronic music that's inspired by a myriad of genres and reference points (rap, techno, Japanese Minyo folk traditions, etc). Their members are PKNY, MTG and Chiyaji. The band name comes from Casio Keyboard, the only equipment they brought with them for their first concert. The group formed in 2009 when PKNY and MTG met at their part-time job whilst they were studying at University in Kyoto. The pair were joined by Synth Senpai, a university friend of PKNY’s, and Chiyaji, who impressed the other band members when they caught her solo performances in Osaka. 2016 Produced a song for Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku's 3rd album "anarchy" 2017 Released their first album "YU" 2018 Performed at French Music Festival "La Magnifique Society" Each member is also active in different groups and creative disciplines. PKNY plays keyboards for neconemuru and also has her own solo project called kumachanseal. MTG is a singer in a pop duo, Chisako and Junta. Chiyaji is an illustrator. <i>Synth Senpai left the band in 2018 but the remaining three band members continue to create music and perform live.</i>
