Salamander

Three stories drawn from the Gradius video game series by Konami. The planet Latis faces destruction as the Space Dragon Salamander and the war planet Bacterian horde attack, overwhelming its defenses and leaving the population desperate. Three warriors from Gradius arrive to assist Lord British in protecting his world. In a preceding story, a girl from another world delivers a dire message to Gradius about the Bacterians and the rise of three galactic heroes. A final story takes place after a peace agreement is made, when one of the heroes is taken prisoner by the Bacterians. The remaining heroes and the forces of Gradius must attempt to rescue him before he suffers a terrible fate.
