Yuuichi Yokoyama

He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Musashino Art University in 1990 and did fine art paintings until his manga debut. In the year 2000, he debuted with his first manga Nyuu Doboku (New Civil Engineering) with entirely different art style. He has a style which abandons the narrative, has artificial/futuristic people and landscapes with powerful onomatopoeia. His unique works went on to be called "neo manga" and received high acclaim in many fields. Currently, he is active as a contemporary artist and lives in Sayama city, Saitama. Some of his famous works include Color Engineering, Travel, Garden and Baby Boom.
