Ep. 1: Tōru discovers Run with Yūko and struggles with loneliness after school starts

Tōru Ichii visits friend Run Momoki to share news of her high school admission, only to find Run in a compromising situation with classmate Yūko Nishi, sparking immediate dislike. As the school term begins, Tōru displays hostility toward anyone approaching Run closely. Meanwhile, Yūko and their mutual friend Nagisa "Nagi" Tennōji work to prevent Run from harming herself due to her aloof nature. Following the school day, Tōru confesses her feelings of loneliness regarding their separation into different classes. Run reassures Tōru that their bond remains unchanged despite the new circumstances.
