Aiko is given the opportunity to communicate with her alternate self located inside the Malignant Matter. At the same time, the human form of the Matter completely engulfs Yura. This event leads to the revelation of Yuzuha. The narrative focuses on these simultaneous developments involving the characters' interactions with the Malignant Matter and the transformation of Yura.
