Ace wo Nerae! (1979)

A high school freshman joins the tennis club out of admiration for a senior known as "Ochoufujin," the team's top player. A new coach insists the freshman compete in an upcoming tournament despite her inexperience, leading her to consider quitting. Eventually, she discovers her passion for tennis and returns to the club. Under the coach's guidance, her abilities begin to flourish. She grows close to the coach, unaware of his serious health condition.
