While traveling to school, the girls encounter Otome Arisugawa, who fell into the fountain attempting to catch a rainbow. A tournament determines three participants for a special Christmas event, pitting Ichigo against Otome in the first round. Naoto cautions Aoi and Ran that Ichigo’s focus on fun may hinder her victory. Witnessing Otome’s rigorous practice, Ichigo resolves to train harder. After receiving advice from the janitor to sing from her soul, Ichigo shares a rainbow moment with Otome. Ichigo successfully auditions for a spot alongside Aoi and Ran. Subsequently, Orihime and Johnny announce an additional position due to increased participation, inviting Otome to audition.
