The blue dragon retrieves his mask and digs an escape route from the cave while Hak excavates from the exterior. After breaking through, Hak reunites with Yona, who successfully persuades the blue dragon to join their group. They depart but halt to camp when Ki-Ja collapses from exhaustion. Yona names the dragon Shin-Ah, explaining it means moonlight. Upon waking the next morning, Ki-Ja informs Yona that he can sense the presence of the green dragon.
