An old white castle serves as the residence for yokai. While tracking his lord's falcon through a nearby forest, a falconer named Zushonosuke meets a graceful lady called Tomihime. He becomes infatuated with her after their encounter. However, he later discovers that Tomihime is actually the leader of the yokai residing in the castle. This revelation complicates his feelings, as he had previously missed her without knowing her true identity or role within the supernatural community inhabiting the ancient fortress.
