Three months after Poppin'Party's self-sponsored live show, local live house owners including CiRCLE's Marina Tsukishima organize the BanG Dream! Girls Band Challenge, with the final at the Nippon Budokan. Poppin'Party and Afterglow express interest in participating. Kasumi invites Rokka to join, but she declines while searching for a band. Meanwhile, Chiyu struggles to find a new guitarist for Raise A Suilen until watching Rokka's cultural festival performance. Chiyu invites Poppin'Party, Roselia, and Rokka to her band's concert, announcing their entry into the Girls Band Challenge and openly offering Rokka an audition, much to her dismay.
