Phi successfully takes control of his younger brother Hyde's Dread Hades. He then binds his Phoenix to Hades to create the new Beyblade Dread Phoenix. Declaring himself the Lord of Destruction, Phi sets his sights on Free De La Hoya as his initial target. The two engage in a battle where Phi emerges victorious. He completely destroys Free's Geist Fafnir, breaking it into pieces during the confrontation. This victory establishes Phi's dominance and marks a significant turning point in his rivalry with Free.
