Momiji finds herself in a confusing situation when Mamoru Kusanagi arrives. She believes he is there to protect her from the Aragami, which makes her feel safer. At the same time, the TAC arrives at the scene with an experimental creation that might be able to defeat the dangerous Aragami. The episode highlights the uncertainty surrounding Kusanagi's true intentions and the potential of the new weapon to handle the monsters threatening Momiji.
