Boku wa Ou-sama

A character named Ou-sama, who is described as silly, gluttonous, and lazy but also lovely and cute, is the focus of a long-running book series adapted into an anime. The series, created by Teruo Teramura and Shizuko Wakayama, began in 1959 and consists of 50 volumes. It is considered one of Japan's most popular children's book series. In both the books and the anime, Ou-sama engages in playful activities such as searching for elephant eggs, which he believes make the best omelets, hiding toys in the forest to tease his three counselors, and riding a bike around his castle.
