Boruto and Sasuke remain in the Hidden Leaf under the supervision of Naruto and Jiraiya. Although Boruto initially feels uneasy around his father, he gradually grows closer to him. Simultaneously, a team of genin consisting of Sakura, Hinata, and Neji is called to duty by their chunin leader, Shikamaru. Boruto and Naruto travel to the assigned meeting location, where they encounter an unforeseen situation. This segment is part of the Time Slip Arc, specifically episode 3 out of 9.
