While staying in Lestallum, Ignis attempts to recreate a favorite dessert of Noctis, revealing the origins of their relationship. As Ignis feels the strain of maintaining Lucis' magical Wall, Regis entrusts him with caring for Noctis. Initially carefree, Noctis becomes disturbed by Regis' decline and argues with Ignis regarding his future as king. Eventually facing his position, Noctis and Ignis reconcile.
