Ren Suzugamori engages in combat with the goal of restoring Asaka Narumi to her normal state after she has been transformed into a PSYqualia zombie. The situation is complicated by the unique influence of PSYqualia, which distorts Asaka's perception of the conflict. Instead of experiencing the reality of the battle, she is trapped in a recurring nightmare where she envisions herself defeating Ren Suzugamori. This psychological barrier created by the PSYqualia power presents a significant challenge for Ren as he attempts to reverse the transformation and return Asaka to her original condition.
