Team Q4 and their friends travel to a remote southern island after receiving an invitation from the VF Circuit. Upon arrival, they discover that New AL4 has also been invited. While Team Q4 focuses intensely on training to improve their strength, the other participants seek rest and relaxation. That evening, Ren organizes a courage test where some members scare others. Chaos follows, as the usually stoic Misaki and Asaka faint from fear, and Kamui fails to frighten Tetsu because he is paired with Emi. Aichi and Kai are assigned to complete the course together, but Kai instead leads Aichi away for private encouragement, culminating in a fireworks display.
