As the VF Circuit Japan Stage approaches, Team Dreadnought arrives and is trapped in a hangar by Kyou Yahagi and Team Avengers. Jillian and Sharlene defeat Kyou’s teammates, prompting Kyou to challenge Leon using a Megacolony deck. Kyou utilizes his new ace, Martial Arts Mutant, Master Beetle, to hinder Leon’s Aqua Force strategy and seal Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom's Limit Break. However, Leon counters by calling new units and maximizing his clan’s potential. Kyou’s overconfidence leads to his defeat as he runs out of guards. After vowing revenge, Team Avengers escapes, with Kyou claiming they are training in outer space while actually hiding in a public planetarium.
